A rotary table with four rotatable cone location spindles mounted on the gearbox. The cones are interchangeable for the different sizes of glove. Each cone has a spigot corresponding to the thumb position so that the glove can only be mounted one way.
- Station 1 - Manual glove load position. The table indexes every 7.5 seconds. The operator loads left and right hand gloves alternately, positioning the thumb over the location spigot.
- Station 2 - Glove sleeve cutter which comprises of a circular knife mounted on the shaft of a geared motor. The motor is mounted on a pneumatically actuated slide so that the circular knife can be brought in contact with the glove. The height of the cutter is manually adjustable and there is a device to clean the knife.
- Station 3 - Ink jet head. So that the marking always appears on the face of the glove, motor rotates the left hand gloves clockwise and the right hand gloves anti clockwise.
- Station 4 - Automatic glove un-load position. The fingers of the glove are inflated to enable gripping by a pick and place mechanism which will remove the glove from the cone. The glove is positioned above the conveyor and a vacuum gripper then takes the glove, rotate it through 90 degrees and lay it on the conveyor face up. This is repeated for the second glove in the pair which will be laid on top of the first glove face down and the conveyor will index.
